Per Diem Implementation Trainer — Surgical Services, Orthopedics

About MedGEO

MedGEO is a healthcare technology company building the infrastructure that connects healthcare systems to the modern data ecosystem. We leverage computer vision, artificial intelligence, and machine learning to automate clinical documentation, improve interoperability, and drive visibility and insights from complex healthcare environments.

Our platform is used directly by surgeons and nurses in live operating rooms — helping clinicians focus on patient care by eliminating the documentation burden in real time. MedGEO works with healthcare providers across ambulatory surgery centers, hospitals, oral surgery centers, specialty practices, and outpatient facilities to modernize operational workflows through intelligent healthcare technology.

We are a mission-focused MedTech startup with a major nationwide partnership launching shortly. This is a unique opportunity to contribute meaningfully from the ground up — and for the right person, to grow into a full-time role within approximately 8 months with early equity participation.

About This Role

MedGEO is seeking an experienced Implementation Trainer with a clinical background as a Surgical Technician — ideally with strong orthopedic experience — to support the rollout of automated workflow solutions within perioperative environments at a major health system.

This role is ideal for someone who understands the realities of operating room workflows and can bridge the gap between clinical staff and technology adoption. You will work directly with OR teams to train staff, support workflow transitions, and ensure successful implementation of MedGEO's automation solutions in a live clinical environment.

The initial project begins in July and requires onsite work in Rochester, Minnesota for a minimum of 6 consecutive weeks.

A Day in the Life

As an Implementation Trainer at MedGEO, you will be the clinical bridge between our technology and the OR teams adopting it. Your day might include a hands-on training session with surgical technologists during a go-live period, troubleshooting a workflow challenge with a perioperative nurse, building documentation to help teams stay consistent, or collaborating with MedGEO's implementation team on deployment strategy. You will be trusted to work independently in a fast-paced clinical environment and build real relationships with the people using this technology every day.

You might be a great fit if you...

  • Have hands-on experience in surgical services and understand OR workflow from the inside
  • Can translate technical processes into practical, user-friendly guidance that clinical teams actually adopt
  • Thrive in environments that require independence, adaptability, and strong interpersonal skills
  • Are comfortable with healthcare technology and excited to help teams embrace workflow change
  • Enjoy being the person clinical staff trust during a high-stakes transition

A very strong candidate might also bring...

  • Experience supporting orthopedic surgical procedures specifically
  • Prior involvement in implementation, onboarding, or clinical informatics projects
  • Familiarity with perioperative documentation systems or healthcare software platforms
  • Experience working with hospital leadership and multidisciplinary teams
  • Background supporting workflow automation or digital transition initiatives

  • Reinforce best practices and ensure workflow adoption across departments

Implementation and Change Management

  • Collaborate with MedGEO's implementation and operations teams to support deployment activities
  • Identify workflow gaps and recommend process improvements
  • Troubleshoot user challenges and escalate technical issues when necessary

Education and Communication

  • Conduct onsite training sessions, demonstrations, and follow-up education
