TITLE:      Peer Recovery Support Services SupervisorREPORTS TO:  Local RSS DirectorCLASSIFICATION: EXEMPT, FULL TIMESUMMARYThe Peer Recovery Support Services Supervisor will provide on-site leadership, coordination, and day-to-day supervision of peer-led activities, services, and operations within Unity Recoverys Recovery Community Center (RCC). This role is primarily responsible for managing daily RCC shifts, including activity flow, participant engagement, staff coverage, and real-time support for peer specialists with short-term needs. While the PSS-RCC may participate in limited ongoing formal supervision over time (pending additional training and experience), the core responsibilities emphasize daily operational oversight rather than weekly supervisory caseload management.The PSS-RCC will also play a key leadership role in community outreach and engagement efforts, including street outreach to potential participants and relationship development with community referral partners, collaborative agencies, and neighborhood stakeholders.The PSS-RCC must demonstrate strong skills in peer-program operations, daily activity coordination, shift coverage management, community engagement, and real-time problem-solving to maintain high-quality peer-led recovery support services.MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONSCertified Peer Specialist in PA (RSPS, PRSS, CPS, etc.) with at least three years of experience in community-based settings, and at least one year of experience providing peer leadership or short-term supervisory support in a community setting.A Peer Specialist Supervisor credential or completion of Certified Peer Specialist Supervisor training is highly desirable, especially for candidates who may transition into providing formal supervision on a limited basis.High degree of technological literacy or willingness to acquire these skills.Background checks may be required for staff working with youth, in criminal justice settings, or other settings as determined by the Executive Director.Reliable and insured personal transportation.Ability to work five in-person days per week, including availability for at least one weekend day.*Dont meet every single requirement? You may be just the right candidate for this or other roles.ESSENTIAL DUTIESRecovery Community Center Daily OperationsProvide real-time shift supervision of peer specialist staff during assigned Recovery Community Center shifts.Oversee daily RCC activity schedules, program flow, participant engagement, and onsite peer support operations.Provide immediate guidance, problem-solving assistance, and short-term supervisory support to scheduled staff during their shifts.Assist with RCC environment management, ensuring safety, accessibility, and a welcoming participant experience.Community Outreach & EngagementLead and participate in street outreach efforts aimed at identifying, engaging, and supporting individuals who may benefit from peer support services.Support relationship-building with referral partners, community-based organizations, and governmental agencies to enhance RCC visibility and impact.Maintain clear and consistent outreach documentation and support data tracking for engagement efforts.Staff Coordination & Supervisory FunctionsCoordinate daily and weekly staff scheduling, RCC coverage, and activity calendars.Facilitate daily shift debriefs with RCC staff.Participate in and co-facilitate formal individual or group supervision with staff on a limited basis, contingent on additional training and experience.Assist in onboarding and supporting new peer staff in the RCC environment.Provide coaching and in-the-moment feedback to staff to maintain service quality and ethical practice.Administrative & Program SupportComplete required documentation, data tracking, and service engagement reporting.Support communication across teams via Slack, email, and digital platforms.Maintain confidentiality and adhere to applicable ethical codes and recovery support rights frameworks.Participate in partner meetings, internal meetings, and leadership discussions as directed.Perform other duties as assigned by leadership.DAILY JOB DUTIESProvide on-site shift supervision and operational oversight of daily RCC peer support services.Facilitate daily shift debriefs and document relevant updates, needs, or issues.Conduct or support community outreach and street engagement activities.Review participant interactions and documentation in the electronic recovery record system to ensure accuracy and timeliness.Coordinate and maintain the RCC staff schedule and daily activity flow.Provide on-site coverage and support during staff absences or as needed.Review and help manage time-off requests in collaboration with leadership to ensure adequate coverage.Troubleshoot digital system issues and coordinate support requests.Monitor internal communications and help maintain professional and supportive staff communication.Participate in continuing education and credential maintenance relevant to peer support and supervision.Consult with staff regarding ethical concerns or participant needs as appropriate.Perform other duties as directed by leadership.COMPENSATION$41,600$49,920 salary range.
