PBX Operator - Evenings

This role is entrusted with the critical responsibility of managing all incoming telephone communications directed to the hospital's main line, the physician’s answering service, and the internal operator system. In addition to expertly handling calls, this professional graciously welcomes visitors in person, offers comprehensive information, and facilitates reception and paging services to ensure a positive and seamless experience for all guests and staff.  The position requires precise coordination of emergency response communications across the facility, encompassing medical, facility and security alerts to safeguard the well-being of patients, personnel, and visitors. Beyond these essential duties, PBX operators diligently monitor hospital alarm panels and skillfully utilize two-way radios, maintaining vigilant oversight and prompt communication throughout the hospital to support its operations and safety protocols.

Required Qualifications:

  • Previous switchboard experience in healthcare setting.
  • Answering service experience or answering phones at large organizations.

  • Healthcare.
