Job Title: Payroll Specialist

Employment Type: Part time (24 hours per week) MWF

Pay Rate: $30–$35 per hour

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Payroll Specialist to manage end-to-end payroll processing for a minimum of 100 employees. This role requires strong attention to detail, compliance knowledge, and the ability to work across multiple pay groups. Experience supporting union environments is a plus.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process accurate and timely payroll for 100+ employees on a regular pay cycle
  • Maintain payroll records and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations
  • Review timekeeping data, deductions, garnishments, and benefits deductions
  • Support audits, reconciliations, and payroll reporting as needed
  • Partner with HR and Finance to resolve payroll discrepancies
  • Ensure adherence to company policies and applicable labor agreements

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2+ years of hands-on payroll experience
  • Proven experience running payroll for at least 100 employees
  • Strong understanding of payroll laws, tax regulations, and compliance
  • Experience with union contracts and collective bargaining agreements is a plus
  • High attention to detail, accuracy, and confidentiality
  • Proficiency with payroll systems and Microsoft Excel

Preferred Experience:

  • Multi-state payroll experience
  • Union payroll or public/regulated environment exposure
