Under the direction of the Nursing staff, will perform a wide variety of duties to provide clerical and administrative support. Activities include maintenance of patient records, room control, unscheduled registrations, order/charge entry, physician orders and insuring adequate and proper office supplies. Assists in unit operational support tasks, works cooperatively with others as part of a team and recognizes the importance of group goals. Responds to patient requests within authorized scope of knowledge and skills. Performs duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with our mission, values, and Mercy Service Standards. ??? Department Overview

26 bed unit- provides excellent care to our community 24/7. We are a highly motivated, hardworking, extreme team focused and talented group of coworkers. Opportunity to care for a large variety of illnesses and injuries given there are no other trauma rated or pediatric specific emergency departments in our immediate area. Nurse to patient ratio is generally 1:4 for nurses. We do have patient care technician, paramedics and patient support associates as part of our care team as well.� �

Qualifications
Education: High school diploma or GED
Other: Working knowledge of medical terminology, typing and computer data entry skills required. Must have excellent communication skills and guest relations expertise.
