Job Title: Patient Services Representative

Schedule: Day Shift – 5x8 Hours (08:00 AM – 4:30 PM)

Employment Type: Temporary, Onsite

Pay Rate: $24.00/hr. - $27.00/Hr. On W2

Position Overview

  • The Patient Services Representative plays a key role in supporting clinic operations by managing patient interactions, scheduling, referrals, and administrative processes. This position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to handle a high-volume workload in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

Required Experience

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar role within a healthcare facility

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with EPIC EMR system
  • Prior experience working directly with physicians

Key Responsibilities

  • Answer and triage incoming calls, directing them appropriately
  • Schedule patient appointments, including infusion and chemotherapy sessions
  • Perform insurance verification
  • Manage calendars using Outlook
  • Process, track, and review referrals, including maintaining referral work queues and screening new patients
  • Ensure compliance with HIPAA and organizational standards when handling patient information
  • Communicate effectively with patients, providers, and external facilities
  • Provide preoperative information and explain surgical and financial requirements to patients
  • Upload and manage patient imaging records
  • Sort and distribute mail and documentation
  • Support additional administrative and operational tasks as needed

Workload Expectations

  • Handle a high-volume caseload of approximately 100–120 patient scheduling activities per day
