Patient Care Tech (PCT) - Telemetry

Summary:

The Patient Care Tech. assists patients with activities of daily living and provides basic nursing care to meet the physical, emotional and social needs of the patient, and serves as a clinical preceptor to Nursing Assistants & PCT’s and is cross-trained to Unit Associate. Assists with maintenance of a safe and clean unit environment. Performs miscellaneous duties as assigned.

• Education:
  • Required High School diploma, GED or equivalent.
• Certification:
  • Preferred: Certified Nursing Assistant certification from an approved program, Florida-issued CNA license, or completion of first semester of Registered Nurse program.
  • Required: BLS certification from the American Heart Association.
  • CPI (Crisis Prevention Intervention) must be obtained within 90 days of hire or transfer into role date.
