Patient Care Assistant

Schedule: Part-Time | 26-30 Hours Weekly | Potential to Increase to 38 Hours

  • Tuesday: 8:00 AM - 6:00 PM
  • Wednesday: 2:00 PM - 6:00 PM
  • Thursday: 8:00 AM - 6:00 PM
  • Friday: Off
  • Lunch Break: 12:30 PM - 1:30 PM (Mon, Tues, Thurs)

Role Overview

The Patient Care Assistant will provide hands-on support for spinal decompression treatments and other clinical modalities under physician supervision. This role is ideal for someone who is warm, dependable, detail-oriented, and enjoys helping patients feel comfortable and cared for throughout their treatment experience. Full training on all equipment and protocols will be provided during the first week.

Key Responsibilities

Patient Care & Treatment Support

  • Welcome and prepare patients for scheduled treatment sessions.
  • Fit and secure support gear and straps for decompression therapy.
  • Assist patients into the correct position on treatment equipment.
  • Operate decompression equipment using physician-prescribed settings.
  • Monitor patient comfort throughout sessions and report concerns promptly.
  • Assist patients off equipment and remove support gear safely.
  • Reset and sanitize treatment areas between patients.

Additional Clinical Support

  • Administer additional therapies as trained, including orthotics fittings, muscle stimulation, heat therapy, and cold laser therapy.
  • Follow all treatment protocols accurately and consistently.
  • Maintain a calm, reassuring, and professional presence with patients.

Administrative Support

  • Assist the Office Manager with projects and general office support as needed.

Ideal Background

  • Prior hands-on patient care or client-facing experience such as PT Aide, CNA, Personal Trainer, Massage Therapist, Athletic Trainer, Chiropractic Assistant, Medical Assistant, or similar.
  • Comfortable with physical contact in a clinical environment.
  • Reliable, punctual, and dependable attendance is essential.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow protocols precisely.
  • Warm communicator who asks questions when clarification is needed.
  • No certification required; full training provided.
