Location: Based out of Pittsfield, IL (Floating to QMG Rural Illinois Locations)Pay Range: $15.35 – $23.03 per hour | Based on Relevant ExperienceSchedule: Full-Time, Monday – Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. (some variability based on departmental needs)

About the Role:

Quincy Medical Group is seeking a dependable and adaptable Patient Access Representative to support our rural Illinois clinics. This position is based out of Pittsfield, IL, with regular travel to surrounding QMG rural locations as needed. A shift differential will apply when floating to other clinic sites.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys variety in their day, builds rapport quickly, and can step into different clinic environments with confidence. You will play an important role in creating a positive first impression for patients while helping maintain efficient clinic operations across multiple communities.

Primary Responsibilities:

As a Patient Access Representative Float, you will greet patients, complete check-in and check-out processes, verify demographics and insurance information, and collect co-pays. You will schedule appointments, manage incoming calls, and assist with coordination of patient visits to support smooth clinic flow.

This role requires strong attention to detail, organization, and the ability to quickly adapt to different providers, workflows, and patient populations. You will maintain accurate documentation in the electronic medical record and ensure a high level of customer service at every interaction. Serving as a reliable support resource for rural clinic teams, you will help ensure consistency and continuity in the patient experience across locations.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • 1–2 years of experience in a customer service, administrative, or healthcare setting preferred
  • Previous patient access, scheduling, or medical office experience preferred
  • Reliable transportation and willingness to travel to rural Illinois clinic locations
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to adapt quickly in a fast-paced, changing environment
  • Comfortable working independently while supporting multiple teams
