Jefferson Healthcare is looking for a Care Team Specialist I to join our Infusion Clinic team for a six-month temporary role! The role of a Care Team Specialist is both dynamic and engaging within the healthcare sector. Care Team Specialists (Medical Receptionists) are important liaisons between the medical care team and the patients. This position involves interacting with diverse individuals in the Cancer Center environment, gathering essential information, assisting patients with scheduling, and supplying clinical teams with the necessary information to deliver high-quality care. Staff members in Infusion will be cross-trained to the Oncology and Radiation Oncology clinics to cover breaks and lunches.
The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, be organized and detail-oriented, and have a strong ability to navigate computers and technology. They will also have a customer service mindset. Responsibilities include greeting and checking in patients, scheduling appointments, answering patient phone calls, and maintaining a clean and welcoming waiting area. The ability to learn to multitask and handle patient inquiries with sensitivity and professionalism is a must. Prior experience in a healthcare setting is preferred but not required.
