Key Responsibilities
• Collaborate with clients to develop and expand intellectual property portfolios across emerging technology sectors.
• Prepare and prosecute patent applications before the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO).
• Draft patent specifications, claims, and responses to office actions.
• Conduct legal and technical research related to software and electronics patents.
• Assist clients with patent portfolio strategy and IP protection initiatives.
• Negotiate agreements and settlements involving intellectual property rights.
• Work closely with engineers, developers, and product teams to identify patentable innovations.
• Draft legal documents and prepare technical analyses for patent filings.
• Support intellectual property transactions and licensing matters when needed.

Qualifications
• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
• USPTO admission required or eligibility to sit for the Patent Bar.
• 2–6 years of experience practicing as a Patent Associate Attorney or patent prosecution attorney.
• Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related technical field preferred.
• Excellent academic credentials.
• Strong technical writing and analytical skills.
• Ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly.
• Experience working within a law firm environment.
