About the Role - Pastry Cook 5 - Temporary

We are seeking a skilled and passionate Pastry Cook 5 to join our team at Park Hyatt Aviara temporarily. The ideal candidate will have a strong focus on laminated doughs, bread pastries, and a variety of other baked goods. Wage Information

The hourly rate for this position is starting at $27.00

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare and bake a variety of pastries, breads, and laminated doughs, including croissants, Danish, and puff pastry.
Measure and mix ingredients accurately to create doughs and batters.
Follow recipes and adjust based on seasonal ingredients and availability.
Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to all food safety and sanitation guidelines.
Monitor and manage baking times and temperatures to ensure optimal product quality.
Collaborate with the team to develop new recipes and improve existing products.
Assist in inventory management, including ordering and receiving supplies as needed.
Maintain equipment and report any maintenance issues.

Previous experiences in a luxury resort preferred
Must possess a professional presentation
Strong interpersonal and problem-solving abilities
Highly responsible and reliable
Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays
Must have physical stamina to lift moderate amounts of weight.
Ability to stand for long periods of time.
