As an Inventory/Parts Specialist you willberesponsible foroverseeing the procurement and inventory management of materials and parts essential for repair and preventative maintenance operations. This includes evaluating vendor quotes, negotiating purchases, and ensuringtimelydelivery of supplies. The position also involves monitoring contract compliance, verifying received materials, andmaintainingaccuraterecords in the CMMS system. Additionally, the role may require operating various company vehicles and equipment, adhering to safety protocols, and performingadditionaltasks as assigned to support smooth operational efficiency.

YOUR IMPACT

  • Create and lead processes to ensure materials and parts are available tomaintainsmooth operation for repairs and preventative maintenance.

  • Evaluate vendor quotes and services todeterminemost desirable suppliers.

  • Purchase,orderand negotiate materials, equipment, and supplies from vendors.

  • Evaluate andmonitorcontract performance to ensure compliance with contractual obligations anddetermineneed for changes.

  • Examine materials received, verify part numbers, and check discrepancies such as damaged or unmarked parts.

  • Maintain an inventory database and input parts in the CMMS system.

  • Drive andoperatedifferent equipment such as golf cart, company vehicles, forklift, etc.

  • Comply withcompany safety program and trainings.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • High School diploma or GED equivalent

  • Valid Driver License

  • 2 years’ experience in materialpurchasing/ Inventory Control

  • 2 years’ experience in data entry, schedulingworkloadsand work orders.

  • Ability to be badged to work in secure areas of an airport

  • Availabletowork Dayor Night Shift including weekends and holidays

PREFERREDQUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience with Airport Operations a plus

  • Computer skills withproficiencyin Microsoft Word and Excel

  • Experience with computer maintenance tracking systems

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

While performing the duties of Inventory / Parts Specialist, the employeeis regularly required tolift and/or move up to 20 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job includeclose proximityvision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand; walk; use hands and fingers to handle or fell objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and talk or hear. The employeeis occasionally required tosit.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

The work environment issimilar toairport operation with vehicular traffic. The employeeregularly worksnear moving mechanical parts. The employee is occasionally exposed to outside weather conditions,fumesor airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, cold, and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
