Position SummaryThis role requires a 710 hr/week commitment. Interns will gain hands-on experience in digital marketing, content development, and brand storytelling, while also becoming familiar with a range of tech-focused programs spanning startups, policy, and industry initiatives.The ideal candidate should be prepared to work in a fast-paced, remote, team environment and collaborate across multiple internal teams, including partnerships, events, and program leads.This is a remote position. Candidates must be located in Washington state or able to work within Washington state.Key ResponsibilitiesMarketing & Content CreationManage and schedule social media content across platforms (primarily LinkedIn), including posts, graphics, and basic video contentDesign visual assets using Canva that align with WTIAs brandWork with team members to develop marketing copy for social media, email campaigns, newsletters, and website updatesSupport promotion of events, programs, and partnership initiatives through digital channelsAssist in maintaining a consistent voice and brand across all communicationsSocial Media ManagementManage day-to-day social media posting and schedulingMonitor engagement and respond to comments/messages as appropriateTrack performance metrics and provide basic reporting and insightsStay current on social media trends and recommend new ideas or improvementsMarketing Operations & SupportAssist with development and execution of marketing campaignsSupport email marketing efforts (drafting, formatting, and list coordination)Collaborate with internal teams to gather content, stories, and updatesMaintain and organize marketing assets and content calendarsIdeal Qualifications and QualitiesInterest or major in marketing, communications, advertising, business, or related fieldsExperience with Canva and LinkedIn strongly preferredStrong written and visual communication skills; ability to create clear, engaging contentBasic understanding of social media platforms and digital marketing principlesDetail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skillsSelf-motivated, with a high level of initiative and ability to work independentlyComfortable working in a remote, fast-paced environment with shifting prioritiesProfessional, reliable, and able to collaborate with a variety of stakeholdersThis role reports to the VP, Member & Partner Strategy and is part of an entrepreneurial, talented, fast-paced team.
