Job Summary

The Part-Time Classroom Aide (3 days per week) supports the educational mission of St. Agnes Catholic Church & School by assisting teachers in creating a positive, organized, and engaging learning environment. This role provides direct support to classroom instruction, helps maintain a safe and orderly atmosphere, and contributes to the overall formation and well-being of students.

Job Responsibilities
  • Assist the classroom teacher with daily instructional activities, small-group work, and individualized student support
  • Help maintain a structured, respectful, and welcoming classroom environment
  • Supervise students during transitions, recess, lunch, and other non-instructional times as assigned
  • Prepare classroom materials, organize supplies, and support teachers with routine administrative tasks
  • Provide guidance and encouragement to students, modeling positive behavior and reinforcing school expectations
  • Support students with varying learning needs under the direction of the teacher
  • Communicate effectively and professionally with teachers, staff, and students
Job Requirements
  • Prior experience working with children in a school or educational setting preferred
  • A genuine desire to support teachers and serve students in their academic and personal growth
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and independently when needed
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow spoken and written instructions
  • Patience, reliability, and a positive, student-centered attitude
