As a trusted community partner, we strive to make spay/neuter procedures accessible and affordable for pet owners.

We are seeking an experienced Surgical Assistant or Certified Veterinary Technician (CVT) to join our team. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional who thrives in a fast-paced surgical environment and enjoys mentoring others.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Administer and monitor anesthesia during surgery
  • Perform surgical prep, including patient induction and positioning
  • Oversee extubation and post-operative recovery
  • Maintain accurate medical records and surgical documentation
  • Supervise and mentor volunteers and trainees
  • Assist with instrument sterilization and clinic cleanliness
  • Communicate effectively with the veterinary team to ensure optimal patient care
  • Lift and handle animals up to 40 pounds
Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience working in a veterinary facility is required
  • Experience as a surgical assistant or CVT in a veterinary setting
  • Strong knowledge of anesthesia monitoring and surgical procedures
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
  • Commitment to patient safety and welfare
  • Excellent communication and mentorship skills
