Grants & Communications Coordinator Organization: Our Sisters’ School Location: New Bedford, MA Job Type: Full-time Our Sisters’ School (OSS)—a tuition-free, independent, non-sectarian middle school for girls in the Greater New Bedford area—is seeking a talented and motivated Grants & Communications Coordinator. This full-time position collaborates with our Director of Advancement and plays a key role in managing grants and leading school communications. We seek a highly organized, collaborative professional with excellent writing skills, strong tech fluency, and a passion for mission-driven work. Key Responsibilities Grants Management ●Research and assess new and existing grant opportunities ●Coordinate and lead the school’s grant-writing team; schedule and facilitate monthly meetings ●Track deadlines and assignments; ensure timely and complete submissions ●Maintain accurate and up-to-date grant records in the Neon database ●For project-based grants, track expenditures and maintain clear spend plans ●Prepare materials and documentation for foundation updates and site visits ●Maintain supporting documents, including the School Year Activities archive and other reference materials ●Occasionally represent OSS at grant-related events ●Collaborate as a core member of the Advancement Team Communications & Publications ●Write, edit, and distribute compelling content across various channels, including newsletters, press releases, and annual reports ●Maintain and update the school’s website and social media accounts with engaging, mission-aligned content ●Oversee photo asset management and select impactful images for school publications ●Provide content and materials from grant and communications work to support larger publications and campaigns Qualifications ●Excellent written and verbal communication skills ●Highly organized and detail-oriented ●Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously ●Collaborative, positive team player with strong interpersonal skills ●Proficient with Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Slides, etc.) and adept with digital tools and databases (experience with Neon or similar CRM a plus) ●Experience in grant writing, communications, or nonprofit development preferred How to Apply Please send resume, cover letter, and two writing samples (one grant-related, one publication or social media-related) to Sarah Herman, Head of School: Sherman@OurSistersSchool.org
