About us:
The Maynard Aquatic Center provides year-round swimming activities and programming. The Burlington Splash Park and North Park Pool offer seasonal fun in the sun.

What you will do:
The Splash Park Attendant is responsible for routine public interactions, assisting with monitoring the Splash Park water features, maintaining cleanliness, and enforcing facility rules and regulations. This role requires working with a diverse public of all ages. As part of Recreation and Parks' 7-day-a-week operation, the position demands flexibility, with the ability to work mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

This is a part-time position with scheduled hours not to exceed 1,000 a year.The Splash Park Attendant position is a seasonal position
Work hours are during the months of May through September from 9 am to 8 pm Monday through Friday; Saturday and Sunday from 9 am to 8 pm
Public Interaction & Customer Service:
  • Greets the public and answers questions in a friendly, approachable manner.
  • Responds to inquiries from employees, customers, and guests, or directs them to the appropriate staff.
Documentation & Reporting:
  • Assists in the completion of paperwork such as accident/incident reports and daily activity reports.
Safety & Policy Enforcement:
  • Helps prevent accidents and ensures the enjoyment of the facility by patrons through the fair and consistent enforcement of Splash Park policies, rules, and regulations.
Professionalism & Customer Relations:
  • Provides high-quality customer service by maintaining a friendly, tactful, courteous demeanor, while remaining alert and professional in posture, dress, and hygiene.
Teamwork & Collaboration:
  • Works cooperatively with other staff members to create a positive and efficient work environment.
Facility Maintenance:
  • Performs daily cleaning and organization duties to maintain cleanliness and order.
Additional Duties:
  • Takes on additional duties as assigned or requested to support the facility's operations.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • 16 years of age or older
  • Current certification in (or ability to achieve) First Aid & CPR/AED
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:
  • Must be able to stand for long periods of time (hours) and be able to lift at least 20 pounds frequently
  • Possess the physical and mental capacity to perform all essential functions of the position
  • Work is accomplished in an outdoor environment, subject to weather fluctuations (wide range of temperatures and inclement conditions)
