Gabi Childcare is seeking a warm, calm, and experienced part time postpartum caregiver to support an everyday family in Brooklyn. This role is ideal for a reliable care professional with newborn and postpartum care experience, strong communication skills, and the ability to support both the parent and baby with patience, care, and professionalism.

The family maintains a kosher household, so kosher household knowledge and experience are preferred. Candidates who are respectful, detail oriented, and willing to learn proper kosher household practices are also welcome to apply.

Role Overview

The postpartum caregiver will provide live out support for the parent and newborn. This role includes newborn care, parent support, light household help, approved errands, and support that helps the parent rest, heal, and feel cared for during the postpartum period.

This is a hands on role for someone who is nurturing, steady, respectful, and experienced in supporting families after birth.

Responsibilities

• Support the parent with rest, healing, and daily comfort
• Provide light personal support for the parent, including laundry, meal prep, and basic tidying
• Assist with nutritional support for the parent
• Support feeding coordination for the newborn
• Help with newborn sleep support and daily routines
• Provide calm, attentive newborn care
• Assist with family housekeeping connected to the parent, baby, and household flow
• Run approved errands as needed
• Respect and follow kosher household practices
• Communicate clearly with the family and Gabi Childcare team
• Maintain a warm, calm, clean, and professional care environment
• Follow family instructions, safety expectations, and care preferences

Qualifications

• Must have newborn and postpartum care experience
• Must have kosher household knowledge and experience
• Must be reliable, professional, and punctual
• Must have strong communication skills
• Must be warm, calm, nurturing, and respectful
• Must be comfortable supporting both parent and baby needs
• Must be able to assist with light household tasks and approved errands
• Must be able to work in a live out part time role in Brooklyn
• Must be able to follow household routines, family preferences, and care instructions

Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate has professional postpartum or newborn care experience and understands how to support a recovering parent with care, privacy, and compassion. This person is calm under pressure, respectful inside the home, and able to balance baby care, parent support, and light household needs without needing constant direction.

Schedule

Part time schedule. Exact days and hours will be discussed with qualified applicants.

Pay and Benefits

$28 to $30 per hour, based on experience, role fit, and schedule.

Paid holidays are included based on the confirmed work schedule and company policy.
