The Part-Time HR & Agricultural Compliance Coordinator supports the Human Resources department by ensuring the organization remains compliant with agricultural labor regulations and employment laws. This role is responsible for maintaining compliance documentation, assisting with HR processes, and communicating effectively with a bilingual workforce. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and able to work with both management and employees to support a compliant and productive workplace.
Key Responsibilities
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local agricultural labor regulations.
Maintain and organize compliance records related to employee eligibility, labor standards, and safety requirements.
Assist with audits, inspections, and reporting requirements for agricultural labor compliance.
Monitor updates to labor laws and agricultural regulations and communicate changes to management.
Human Resources Support
Assist with onboarding and orientation for new employees.
Maintain employee personnel files and HR documentation.
Support payroll preparation by verifying time records and employee data when needed.
Assist with employee communications regarding HR policies, procedures, and benefits.
Bilingual Communication
Provide translation and interpretation support between management and employees.
Assist employees with completing HR paperwork and understanding company policies.
Help ensure HR documents and notices are clearly communicated to a bilingual workforce.
Administrative Duties
Maintain accurate HR databases and filing systems.
Support scheduling, training coordination, and employee record management.
Assist with internal HR reporting and compliance tracking.
Bilingual (English and Spanish preferred).
Previous experience in Human Resources, agricultural operations, or compliance-related roles preferred.
Knowledge of agricultural labor laws and HR compliance requirements is a plus.
Strong organizational and recordkeeping skills.
Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency with basic office software (Word, Excel, HR systems).
Part-time position (approximately 20–25 hours per week).
Schedule may vary depending on seasonal agricultural needs.
Combination of office and occasional field interaction with agricultural staff.
May involve reviewing documentation, meeting with employees, and coordinating with supervisors.
Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.
