The City of San Marcos is currently accepting qualified applications for the
Part Time Parks and Recreation Front Desk Attendant as welcomed additions to
the
San Marcos Community CenterHours Required (may be modified or adjusted due to needs of program & facility):
  • Schedule 1 – Afternoon / Evening Schedule

    • Monday–Wednesday: 3:00 PM – 8:00 PM (occasional shifts until 9:00 PM)
    • Alternating Fridays: 12:30 PM – 5:30 PM
  • Schedule 2 – Morning / Daytime Schedule

    • Mondays & Fridays: 8:30 AM – 12:30 PM
    • Thursdays: 10:00 AM – 4:00 PM

Part Time positions are limited to working no more than an average of 20 hours per week and no more than 999 hours per fiscal year. Please note this is a year-round, part-time position with a consistent weekly schedule and is not designed to transition into a full-time role.

In addition to the completed application, answers to the required supplemental questions are required in consideration of this position.

Under general supervision, provides front-line customer service and administrative support for the daily operations of the Parks and Recreation Department. Responsibilities include assisting the public in person, by phone, and email; answering questions about programs and services; processing registrations and payments; and performing related data entry and office tasks.
