Summary of Position
Teaches certificate and associate degree courses in welding. Possesses comprehensive experience in Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW), Gas Metal Arc Welding (GMAW/MIG), Flux Cored Arc Welding (FCAW), and Gas Tungsten Arc Welding (GTAW/TIG). Demonstrates a strong commitment to OSHA-compliant safety practices and excels in blueprint creation and interpretation. Brings foundational knowledge in robotic welding systems and numerically controlled cutting, supporting efficient, precise, and high-quality fabrication processes. Must be able to provide regular in-person instruction as assigned.
Position Information
Plans, organizes, teaches, and provides feedback to promote and direct student success. Responds to students in a timely manner. Communicates with students, departments, and university officials via university provided tools and resources.

Qualifications and Competencies
Required Certifications, Training, and/or Licensures: AWS or equivalent related certification in one or more welding processes.
Sponsorship and/or Work Authorization Status: Must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.
Minimum Qualifications: AWS or equivalent related certification in one or more welding processes with a high school diploma or GED; at least three years of practical welding experience in at least one of the following categories: Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW), Gas Metal Arc Welding (GMAW/Mig), Flux Cored Arc Welding (FCAW), Gas Tungsten Arc Welding (GTAW/Tig), OSHA Safety, Blueprint creation and reading, Basic robotic welding, and/or Basic numerically controlled cutting. Must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.
Preferred Qualifications: Associate or bachelor’s degree in welding. Experience with basic robotic welding and automated 2D cutting. Certified Welding Educator (CWE) credentials. Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) credentials. NC3 Train-the-Trainer certification.
