Seed IP Law Group is seeking an experienced Paralegal with a strong background in trademark prosecution and IP litigation to join our boutique intellectual property law firm. This role supports attorneys across trademark portfolio management, enforcement, and contentious matters, with meaningful responsibility and direct client interaction. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, proactive, and comfortable juggling multiple matters in a fast-paced, high-expectations environment.

Responsibilities
Trademark Prosecution and Portfolio Management
- Prepare, file, and manage U.S. and international trademark applications, including Madrid Protocol filings.
- Conduct trademark clearance, freedom-to-operate, and landscape analyses to support client counseling and strategic IP decisions.
- Draft and file trademark prosecution documents, including Responses to Office Actions, Statements of Use, Renewals, Declarations, Assignments, and Amendments.
- Coordinate with international counsel on international trademark matters and ensure timely execution of instructions.
- Maintain and manage trademark dockets, deadlines, and portfolio reports.
- Conduct trademark clearance searches and compile search results for attorney review.
- Support trademark enforcement matters, including cease-and-desist correspondence and monitoring activities.
IP Litigation and Dispute Support
- Provide comprehensive paralegal support for IP litigation matters across both trademark and patent portfolios, including enforcement actions, disputes, and administrative proceedings.
- Draft pleadings, motions, discovery, exhibits, and correspondence.
- Prepare and cite-check briefs, exhibits, and filings for federal district courts, the TTAB, PTAB, and other administrative bodies.
- Coordinate filings via PACER CM/ECF, TTAB Center, ESTTA, and P-TACTS, ensuring compliance with applicable rules and deadlines.
- Assist with deposition preparation, expert materials, hearing logistics, and trial support as needed.
- Administrative and Practice Support
- Communicate directly with clients regarding filings, deadlines, and routine status updates.
- Maintain matter files, both electronic and physical, in accordance with firm procedures.
- Track billable time accurately and consistently.
- Assist with internal reporting, audits, and portfolio reviews.
- Support attorneys with special projects related to IP strategy, enforcement, or litigation readiness.
Qualifications
- 3 to 10 years of paralegal experience in an IP-focused or law firm environment.
- Substantial experience with U.S. trademark prosecution; international trademark experience strongly preferred.
- Hands-on experience supporting IP litigation matters across trademark and patent disputes, including TTAB, PTAB, and/or federal court litigation.
- Proficiency with USPTO systems, CM/ECF, and docketing software.
- Strong understanding of trademark procedures, deadlines, and litigation workflows.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple matters and deadlines with minimal supervision.
- Clear, professional written and verbal communication skills.
- Authorization to work in the U.S.
Compensation & Benefits
The salary range for this position is $75,000 to $105,000, depending on experience, with eligibility for a performance-based bonus.
