We are hiring a full-time Paralegal in South Portland, Maine to support legal operations across contract management, healthcare compliance, litigation support, and corporate governance. This full-time, on-site direct hire paralegal role reports directly to executive leadership and plays a key role in ensuring legal processes are efficient, compliant, and aligned with business goals.

What You’ll Do (Key Responsibilities)

  • Own the contract lifecycle management process (drafting, reviewing, execution, renewals) to ensure compliance with healthcare and regulatory standards
  • Lead contract review and legal document drafting, ensuring alignment with federal, state, and local regulations
  • Support litigation and regulatory matters, including subpoenas, arbitration, mediation, and case file management
  • Conduct legal research and compliance analysis, translating findings into actionable insights for leadership
  • Monitor and track healthcare regulations and legal updates, helping maintain organizational compliance
  • Coordinate corporate governance activities, including board and committee materials, minutes, and reporting
  • Serve as a liaison between internal teams and external partners to streamline legal and compliance workflows
  • Maintain strict HIPAA compliance and confidentiality standards across all legal and administrative functions

Required Qualifications (Must-Have)

  • 3+ years of Paralegal experience (healthcare, compliance, or corporate law preferred)
  • Associate’s degree in Business, Legal Studies, or related field
  • Strong background in:
  • Contract management and vendor agreements
  • Legal research and regulatory compliance
  • Litigation support and legal documentation
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, SharePoint)
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills with ability to manage multiple priorities
  • High level of discretion handling confidential and HIPAA-protected information

Preferred Qualifications (Nice to Have)

  • Experience as a Healthcare Paralegal
  • Familiarity with contract management systems (e.g., Ntracts)
  • Experience supporting corporate governance or board-level reporting
