Probate Paralegal
Role Summary
The Probate Paralegal manages assigned probate and guardianship matters from intake through closing. This role ensures cases move forward efficiently, maintains accurate records in MyCase, coordinates court filings and deadlines, and serves as a primary point of contact for clients.
Core Responsibilities
● Manage assigned caseload and workflow tasks in MyCase
● Draft and prepare pleadings, motions, and legal correspondence
● Track court deadlines, hearings, and required filings
● Maintain organized digital and physical case files
● Communicate with clients regarding case status, deadlines, and required documents
● Schedule meetings, hearings, mediations, and court appearances
● Coordinate court filings and monitor incoming court orders and opposing counsel filings
● Collaborate with attorneys and support staff to keep cases moving efficiently
● Maintain daily billable time entries and uphold firm procedures
Requirements
● Bilingual (English/Spanish) required
● Prefer 2-3 years’ experience in Probate
● Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
● Experience using case management systems (MyCase preferred)
● Professional communication skills and ability to manage multiple deadlines
