A well‑established law firm in Lisle, Illinois is seeking a Litigation Paralegal / Legal Assistant to join its growing practice focused on municipal and local government law, with a mix of litigation and transactional work.

The Practice

The firm represents municipalities and related entities in matters involving:

• Municipal and local government law
• Litigation in state and federal courts
• Transactional work, including:
• Business entity matters
• Real estate transactions
• General corporate and municipal agreements

Prior municipal law experience is helpful but not required. Strong litigation experience with an interest in transactional exposure is a great fit.

The Role

• Support attorneys on litigation matters from filing through resolution
• Prepare, format, and file documents in Illinois state and federal courts
• Assist with discovery, case organization, and deadline management
• Provide support on transactional and municipal matters as needed
• Maintain organized files and assist with document management

This role offers hands‑on involvement and the chance to develop well‑rounded experience.

Who This Is For

• 3+ years of experience as a Paralegal or Legal Assistant
• Background in litigation support required
• Experience with transactional or real estate matters is a plus
• Familiarity with e‑filing in state and federal courts
• Strong attention to detail and written communication skills
• Looking for a stable, onsite role with varied responsibilities

Compensation

• $27.00 – $31.50 per hour, based on experience

Compensation is competitive for the Lisle / western suburbs market and reflects the role’s mix of litigation and transactional exposure.
