Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented Paralegal/Case Manager to join our law firm. In this vital role, you will support a wide range of legal practices by managing case files, conducting legal research, and drafting documents. You will help streamline case workflows, ensure compliance with legal standards, and contribute to the successful resolution of cases across various practice areas including estate planning, environmental law, land use/zoning law and more.
Salary Range: $50,000-$70,000
Duties
- Manage and organize legal case files using document management system (Clio Manage) to ensure accuracy and accessibility.
- Conduct comprehensive legal research utilizing LexisNexis and other resources to support case development across multiple practice areas.
- Draft, review, and proofread legal documents.
- Support litigation processes through document review, data entry, filing, and maintaining organized case records in compliance with firm policies.
- Provide administrative support including scheduling appointments, managing calendars, handling phone inquiries with professional etiquette, and performing transcription tasks as needed.
Skills
- Strong project management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively to meet deadlines.
- Proficiency in legal software such as Westlaw, LexisNexis, PCLaw, and document management systems.
- Exceptional writing skills for drafting legal documents and correspondence that are clear and professional.
- Experience in legal administrative functions including data entry, filing systems, document review, proofreading, transcription and contract management.
- Superior organizational skills with attention to detail when handling multiple cases simultaneously.
- Ability to provide executive administrative support by managing schedules and maintaining confidentiality at all times.
- Knowledge of clerical practices such as phone etiquette and organizational procedures essential for smooth office operations.
