Schedule: Hybrid onsite 3 days a week
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Paralegal with a strong background in patent prosecution and intellectual property support to join one of our semiconductor clients' legal team onsite in Austin, TX. This role will support in-house counsel and external patent attorneys in managing U.S. and international patent filings related to semiconductor manufacturing equipment, process technologies, and mechanical/electrical innovations.
The ideal candidate has hands-on experience preparing and filing patent applications, managing USPTO correspondence, and maintaining complex IP portfolios in a fast-paced, highly technical environment.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience as a paralegal supporting patent prosecution and filing
- Direct experience with USPTO filings and patent docketing systems
- Strong understanding of patent law procedures, timelines, and documentation requirements
- Experience working with highly technical subject matter (engineering, mechanical, electrical, or semiconductor-related technologies)
- Exceptional attention to detail, organizational skills, and deadline management
- Ability to work onsite in Austin, TX in a collaborative, fast-paced environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Paralegal certificate or associate’s/bachelor’s degree in paralegal studies or a related field
- Experience supporting IP portfolios within semiconductor, manufacturing, hardware, or advanced technology companies
- Familiarity with international patent filings (EPO, WIPO/PCT, Asia-Pacific jurisdictions)
- Experience working in an in-house legal department
- Exposure to IP management tools such as Anaqua, CPI, FoundationIP, or similar systems
