Position Overview

The firm is actively seeking a Family Law Paralegal to support attorneys handling a variety of domestic relations cases. This position is ideal for a detail-oriented and organized paralegal who is comfortable managing multiple cases and interacting directly with clients. The role is fully onsite, five days per week.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide paralegal support for family law matters including divorce, custody, child support, alimony, and related proceedings
• Draft and prepare pleadings, motions, discovery responses, financial statements, and correspondence
• File documents with Maryland courts and ensure compliance with applicable rules and deadlines
• Maintain organized case files, both electronic and physical
• Communicate with clients, court staff, and opposing counsel in a professional and empathetic manner
• Assist attorneys with trial preparation, exhibits, and hearings
• Track deadlines, court dates, and appointments to support case progression

Qualifications

• 2+ years of family law paralegal experience
• Familiarity with Maryland family law procedures preferred
• Strong drafting, organizational, and proofreading skills
• Ability to manage multiple cases and prioritize deadlines effectively
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and legal case management software
• Paralegal certificate or relevant legal education preferred
