Job Title: Job Prep Laborer
Job Description

The role involves performing body preparation on truck utility bodies, platforms, dumps, and other vehicle bodies. The candidate will be responsible for following directions and processes as instructed by the Painting Manager. Collaboration with cross-functional teams, including production, sales, and operators, is essential to ensure vehicles are prepared and painted accurately and efficiently.

Responsibilities

  • Perform body preparation on various vehicle bodies, including trucks, platforms, and dumps.
  • Follow directions and processes as instructed by the Painting Manager.
  • Work effectively and efficiently with cross-functional teams to ensure timely and accurate vehicle preparation and painting.
  • Ensure limited mistakes and rework by showcasing attention to detail.
  • Confidently use hand and power tools for vehicle preparation.
Essential Skills
  • 1-3+ years of paint prep experience.
  • 1+ years of experience working with hand and power tools.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Experience in general assembly, installation, grinding, and sanding is a plus.

Work Environment

Work takes place in an open-air shop environment, complemented by a yard area for staging and installation. The team consists of roughly 10-12 members, providing a collaborative and supportive environment. The shift runs Monday to Friday, from 7 AM to 3:30 PM, with potential overtime as needed.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Stockton, CA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $21.00/hr.
