Job Description

Join our dynamic team as a Packer, where you'll play a crucial role in our production process. This position offers a variety of shifts including 1st shift from 4:00am to 2:30pm, 2nd shift from 2:00pm to 12:30am, and a weekend shift from 5:00am to 6:00pm, with 36 hours of work paid as 40.

Responsibilities

  • Utilize computer systems and handle related documentation efficiently.
  • Lift and handle items weighing up to 50 lbs.
  • Fill liquids and powders into tanks with precision.
  • Use scales to ensure accurate measurement of liquids.
  • Weigh out raw materials accurately according to formulas.
  • Operate forklifts to move products around the production floor.
  • Demonstrate computer knowledge and handle written compounder materials.
  • Select appropriate tanks based on manufacturing requirements and batch sizes.
  • Pick required raw materials from the warehouse according to formulas.
  • Scan raw materials using barcode scanners for lot number and quantity accuracy.
  • Stage and add materials to tanks following manufacturing instructions, potentially requiring forklift operation.
  • Fill and pack orders according to sales orders, ensuring accurate weight and specified labeling.
  • Adhere to GMP and safety guidelines and procedures.
  • Be open to cross-training and assisting in different departments.

Essential Skills

  • Experience in warehouse operations, loading, and packing.
  • Ability to work around chemicals and food-grade materials while following GMP standards.
  • Proficiency in using scales, pumps, valves, and air mixers.
  • Capability to lift 50 lbs and operate forklifts and pallet jacks.
  • Attention to detail for labeling and packing logs.
  • Comfortable wearing a respirator.
  • Knowledge of GMP standards, food manufacturing, compounding, and material handling.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience in food manufacturing and cleanroom environments.
  • Familiarity with chemical handling, unloading, order picking, packaging, and production processes.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $22.00/hr.
