Pays $61,464 - $69,784. annually DOE (Salary ranges provided are based on relevant experience and skill set)
The Overnight Shift Supervisor is an essential position and will work 100% site based to maintain guest to staff ratio.
SUMMARY OF THE POSITION:
The Overnight Supervisor will provide leadership and guidance to the program staff and guests of Holy Family Inn. Responsibilities include overseeing all program design and decisions, staff hiring, training and support; guest intakes; record keeping, incident reporting and shift documentation; maintaining a clean and sanitary facility; as well as critical incident response and security screening. The Overnight Supervisor will be part of the morning and evening shift rotation and will oversee all aspects of Holy Family’s daily operations (7 days/week); including a service model that emphasizes use of Trauma Informed Care and Crisis Prevention and Intervention training principles. The Overnight Supervisor will maintain a close working relationship with internal programs such as the Men’s Inn, Shelter Clinicians, Housing Placement Programs and Facilities etc. The Overnight Supervisor will work with external organizations such as security companies, neighborhood committees, volunteer groups, the church clergy and agencies relative to shelter inspections etc. The Overnight Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing the work of up to 3 full-time GSS staff, and relief staff assigned to the program. In addition, the Overnight Supervisor will oversee and collaborate with HFI’s Day and Evening Supervisors, to provide support for HFI drivers and other staff on their individual shifts. The Overnight Supervisor will ensure that services are provided in the spirit of the Inn’s traditional hallmarks of dignity and respect for all our guests.
The Overnight Supervisor will manage the operations of the overnight shift daily including scheduling, rotations, crisis management, customer service, security screening, food service, clothing, toiletries, medical care and referrals, determining building security status day to day as needed. Preparing and sharing shift reports with other PSI Programs at the end of every shift. Entering data into PSI HMIS systems, daily census and additional documentation as required.
The Overnight Supervisor will perform duties, such as staff scheduling, staff call-out coverage, interviews and admissions, dismissals, shift report reviews, grievance or incident report reviews, building engines/prism reporting, ITS requests and all other duties as required, working in collaboration with the Day Supervisor, Evening Supervisor, Associate Director and Director.
The incumbent will assess guests’ needs and assets in order to make appropriate diversion decisions as well as referrals for case management and housing services and works closely with Case Managers and other PSI staff to coordinate care and services and will be an available resource for guests to assist them in their efforts to obtain permanent housing.
