We are entering a significant growth phase with aggressive national expansion plans.
Position Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated, results-driven Outside Sales Representative to lead business development on a nationwide basis. This role focuses on acquiring new customers, expanding into new geographic regions and industry verticals, and driving significant revenue growth. The ideal candidate is a proactive hunter with experience in contract manufacturing or container sales who is excited to help build EMCO’s national presence.
Key Responsibilities
- Prospect, qualify, and acquire new customers across the United States in target and emerging markets
- Develop and execute strategies to expand EMCO’s presence into new regions and industry verticals
- Build long-term strategic relationships with decision-makers at chemical manufacturers, formulators, and industrial companies
- Present EMCO’s full suite of capabilities: toll blending, hazardous and non-hazardous material packaging, custom labeling, warehousing, and logistics solutions
- Facilitate and assist with negotiations for proposals, contracts, and pricing agreements
- Collaborate closely with operations, quality, and technical teams to ensure seamless delivery and high customer satisfaction
- Maintain accurate sales pipeline, forecasts, and activity records in the CRM system
- Monitor industry trends, competitive activity, and regulatory developments
- Meet or exceed aggressive sales targets focused on new business and market expansion
- Travel within the U.S. (25-50%) as needed to support national growth initiatives
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Chemistry, Marketing, or a related field preferred (or equivalent experience)
- 4+ years of proven outside sales experience in chemicals, contract manufacturing, packaging, distribution, or industrial B2B services
- Demonstrated success in new business development and opening new markets or territories
- Technical aptitude and ability to understand chemical blending, packaging processes, and hazardous materials handling
- Strong negotiation, presentation, and relationship-building skills
- Self-starter with the ability to work independently in a remote/field environment
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Willingness to travel 25-50% nationally
Preferred Skills & Experience
- Existing relationships in the chemical, coatings, fuel additives, or other industries utilizing contract packaging services
- Experience selling toll blending, contract packaging, or HAZMAT services
- Proficiency with CRM tools and Microsoft Office
