Outside Sales Representative
Chicago | Field-Based
Adecco's Direct Hire division is supporting a confidential client in the commercial landscaping / grounds maintenance sector with a search for an Outside Sales Representative in Chicago.
This role is focused on territory growth and new business development with customers in markets such as commercial landscaping, golf courses, parks and recreation, schools, municipalities, commercial properties, and related outdoor maintenance environments.
Position Responsibilities
- Develop new business within an assigned Chicago territory
- Prospect and engage decision-makers through field-based outreach, cold calling, networking, and follow-up activity
- Conduct on-site product demonstrations and support customer trial periods
- Manage the full sales cycle from initial contact through close
- Maintain relationships with customers and support account growth over time
- Coordinate with internal teams to support implementation, customer communication, and service needs
- Represent the company at industry events, demonstrations, and trade shows
Candidate Profile
- Experience in outside sales, territory sales, or business development with specific industry background selling into one or more of the following markets: landscaping, turf, grounds maintenance, outdoor power equipment, golf, or related markets.
- Experience calling on field-based operators, maintenance leaders, grounds teams, or property-related decision-makers
- Ability to manage a consultative sales cycle that includes demonstrations and customer follow-up
- Comfortable working independently in a territory-based role
- Strong communication and relationship management skills
