Outside Sales Representative
Position Overview
Established industrial services and equipment company is seeking a relationship-driven Outside Sales Representative to support continued growth across the Southeast region. This role focuses on developing long-term customer partnerships, identifying new business opportunities, and coordinating solutions for clients in manufacturing, construction, transportation, and industrial environments.
The ideal candidate is proactive, personable, and comfortable managing a mix of existing accounts and new business development in a fast-paced, field-oriented environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain relationships with industrial, commercial, and contractor-based customers
- Identify new sales opportunities through networking, referrals, site visits, and market research
- Conduct client meetings to understand operational needs and recommend appropriate service or equipment solutions
- Prepare pricing proposals, coordinate quotations, and support contract negotiations
- Collaborate with internal operations and leadership teams to ensure smooth project execution and customer satisfaction
- Track pipeline activity, customer interactions, and sales performance through CRM systems
- Represent the company at industry events, trade associations, and customer meetings
- Maintain awareness of regional market trends, competitor activity, and customer demand
Preferred Background
- 2+ years of outside sales, business development, or account management experience
- Experience supporting industrial, construction, manufacturing, transportation, or equipment-related customers preferred
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Self-starter with the ability to manage territory activity independently
- Comfortable spending significant time in the field meeting customers
- Proficient with Microsoft Office and CRM platforms
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required
