Services must be ordered by a physician or physician extenders. The Occupational Therapist also supervises and delegates appropriate functions to the Certified Occupational Therapist Assistants or Rehab Technicians.Required Education:
Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational TherapyPreferred Education:
Master’s or Doctorate Degree in Occupational Therapy
Required Skills:
Basic computer skills, good interpersonal skills, basic organizational and time management skills, basic knowledge and skills to care for the physical needs of the population served.Required Licensure /Registration /Certification:
Current Texas license as an Occupational Therapist and BLSPreferred Licensure /Registration /Certification:
Advanced skills/certifications in specialty areas, such as NDT, geriatric, orthopedics, pediatrics, etc.Required Experience:
Work/educational experience in the healthcare fieldPreferred Experience:
One year experience as an Occupational Therapist in a health care setting.
