OSP QA/QC Manager

BlueSky is seeking a OSP QA/QC Manager for our client, a reputable fast growing Fiber provider!

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee and provide quality control to underground fiber contractors work in the field
  • Conduct field audits of underground fiber construction activities
  • Verify adherence to client specifications, engineering prints, and industry standards
  • Inspect restoration, traffic control, and right-of-way conditions during active construction
  • Document deficiencies, corrective actions, and project updates through daily reporting tools
  • Perform acceptance walkthroughs and support turnover documentation prior to project closeout
  • Monitor OSP Fiber contractor performance related to workmanship, safety practices, and schedule execution
  • Assist with outage investigations, emergency response efforts, and field issue resolution
  • Validate as-built conditions and support route validation activities
  • Coordinate with municipalities, utility partners, and internal project teams as needed
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA requirements and local permitting standards


Qualifications

  • Min of 3+ years of experience in OSP fiber construction, telecom inspection, or QA/QC oversight
  • Strong understanding of fiber optic construction methods, including underground, and splicing environments
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, permits, and network documentation
  • Familiarity with telecom safety standards and utility construction practices
  • Experience using field reporting or quality management platforms is preferred
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to project sites as needed


Must Haves

  • Underground fiber construction experience
  • Utility coordination and municipal inspection environments
  • Knowledge of DOT, city, and county permitting requirements
  • Experience supporting large telecom or infrastructure programs
  • Be OK working in the field majority of the time
