Job Requirements

32 hour per week fulltime position, focuses on performing the following duties:

  • Performs, prescribes and analyzes results for the treatment of illnesses, diseases, injuries and conditions related to the eye.
  • Tasks include vision assessments, eye surgeries and advanced forms of eye disease in patients with significant systemic illness.
  • Help support specialized eye examination in pedi patients and strabismus in adults. Also assisting the pediatric opthalmologist with pediatric patients with ocular misalignment.
  • Responsible for evaluating and recommending treatment of patients with ocular motility disturbances.
  • Assists Opthalmologist in all aspects of patient care including diagnostic testing and preliminary examination.


Work Experience
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Completion of a two year Orthoptist or Opthalmic Medical Tech program
  • Orthoptist or Opthalmic Medical Tech Certification
  • two (2) years of experience as an Orthoptist including teaching experience.
