Take2 is hiring a clearable OCI Cloud System Engineer. This role requires you to be eligible to be sponsored for a Secret Clearance to interview. This position is hybrid and will require you to work 3 days a week onsite in Boston, MA.
Oracle Cloud Systems Engineer (Journeyman)

Overview
We are seeking a highly capable Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) Systems Engineer to design, build, and support secure, scalable cloud native solutions. This is a hands-on technical role for an experienced engineer who enjoys architecting, implementing, and troubleshooting modern cloud environments while collaborating across development, operations, and security teams.
The ideal candidate will bring strong OCI expertise, a passion for automation, and the ability to guide teams in adopting best practices across architecture, deployment, and security.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain scalable, resilient OCI infrastructure and shared services
- Configure and troubleshoot cloud, virtual, and physical hardware and software systems
- Develop and manage Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools such as Terraform, Terragrunt, and Ansible
- Implement containerized solutions using Kubernetes (OKE) and Docker
- Configure and integrate OCI services, including networking, IAM, and security services
- Support security assessments and remediate vulnerabilities within cloud environments
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory frameworks such as SOC 2, HIPAA, PCI-DSS, NIST, and DoD Cloud Computing SRG
- Support customer onboarding and provide a consistent pathway to cloud adoption
- Create reference architectures, design patterns, and technical standards
- Prepare and maintain detailed technical documentation
- Collaborate with cross functional teams including development, operations, security, and product stakeholders
- Drive adoption of DevSecOps practices and automation pipelines (GitLab, CI/CD, Artifactory, automated testing)
Technical Leadership Responsibilities
- Translate business and mission requirements into secure, effective technical solutions
- Present architecture designs and technical recommendations to leadership
- Lead architectural reviews and guide complex technical decision making
- Mentor and support development teams of up to 10 engineers on cloud native design and deployment best practices
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree plus 4 or more years of relevant experience
- Ability to attain a Secret security clearance (US Citizen)
- Ability to obtain IAT Level II certification and at least one cloud certification within six months of hire
- Strong hands-on experience with:
- OCI architecture and services
- Automation and Infrastructure as Code
- High availability and multi-region architectures
- Container platforms and API gateways
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proven experience in customer facing or stakeholder engagement roles
Preferred Qualifications
- Advanced knowledge of OCI Identity and Access Management (compartments, policies, governance)
- Advanced cloud and hybrid networking experience (DRG, segmentation, NACLs)
- Familiarity with build automation and CI/CD pipelines
- Experience supporting regulated or compliance driven environments
