Here's a polished job description:

Functional Oracle Solution Architect – Order to Cash & Subscription Management

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Functional Oracle Solution Architect to lead the design, implementation, and optimization of our Oracle Cloud Order to Cash (O2C) ecosystem, with a strong secondary focus on Oracle Subscription Management. This role serves as the functional bridge between business stakeholders and technical delivery teams, translating complex business requirements into scalable Oracle solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Solution Architecture & Design

  • Architect end-to-end Oracle Cloud O2C solutions spanning Order Management (OM), Pricing, Shipping, Accounts Receivable (AR), and Collections
  • Design and configure Oracle Subscription Management solutions to support recurring revenue models, contract lifecycle management, and automated billing
  • Lead fit-gap analysis, solution design workshops, and proof-of-concept engagements with business and IT stakeholders
  • Define integration patterns between O2C and adjacent modules including Inventory, Projects, and Finance

Implementation & Delivery

  • Drive full-cycle Oracle Cloud implementations and upgrades across O2C and Subscription Management workstreams
  • Develop functional specifications, configuration documents, and test scripts
  • Collaborate with development teams on custom extensions, OIC integrations, and OTBI/BIP reporting requirements
  • Lead CRP (Conference Room Pilots), UAT, and cutover planning activities

Stakeholder Engagement

  • Act as a trusted advisor to business owners, translating revenue operations needs into Oracle best-practice solutions
  • Facilitate executive-level solution presentations and architecture review sessions
  • Manage functional scope, risks, and issues throughout the project lifecycle

Ongoing Optimization

  • Identify opportunities to streamline O2C processes and improve subscription revenue recognition accuracy
  • Stay current with Oracle quarterly release updates and assess impact to existing configurations
  • Mentor junior functional consultants and analysts

Required Qualifications

  • 8+ years of functional Oracle experience, with at least 5 years focused on Order to Cash (Oracle Cloud or EBS)
  • Demonstrated hands-on experience with Oracle Subscription Management Cloud, including subscription creation, amendments, renewals, and revenue scheduling
  • Deep expertise across core O2C modules: Order Management, Pricing (including APC), Shipping Execution, Accounts Receivable, and Advanced Collections
  • Strong understanding of revenue recognition principles and how they intersect with subscription billing (ASC 606 familiarity a plus)
  • Experience leading or co-leading full lifecycle Oracle Cloud implementations
  • Proficiency in Oracle configuration, functional testing, and documentation standards
  • Excellent communication and facilitation skills across technical and non-technical audiences

Preferred Qualifications

  • Oracle Cloud certification in Order Management or Financials
  • Familiarity with Oracle CPQ and its integration into the O2C flow
  • Experience with Oracle Revenue Management Cloud (RMCS) in a subscription context
  • Exposure to OIC (Oracle Integration Cloud) for O2C integration scenarios
  • Prior experience in SaaS, manufacturing, or high-tech industries with complex ordering models

What You'll Bring

A strategic mindset paired with deep hands-on Oracle functional knowledge. You're equally comfortable whiteboarding a solution architecture with a CRO and diving into order hold configuration with a business analyst. You understand that subscription and transactional revenue models require different design thinking — and you know how to make Oracle do both well.
