Job Description:


BAMWX LLC, a leading weather service provider, is seeking an Operational Meteorologist to join our team in Greenwood, Indiana. This is an exciting opportunity to join one of the nation’s fastest growing weather providers. Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and interpret meteorological data from radar, satellite, and other sources in real-time.
  • Provide accurate weather forecasts and real-time impactful weather updates utilizing BAMWX’s innovative BAM Weather platform.
  • Communicate weather information quickly and effectively to clients


Requirements:

  • Must be able to relocate to Greenwood, Indiana.
  • Operational meteorologist experience (or a related position) of 4+ years.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Meteorology, Atmospheric Sciences, or a related field.
  • Customer service experience is highly preferred.
  • This position will likely require work on weekends and some holidays.
  • Ability to work extended hours during critical weather events.
  • Comfortable working in a very high-paced environment and making quick, impactful decisions.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to turn complex information into simple, actionable forecasts.
  • Familiarity with radar, satellite and observational tools for weather analysis.
  • Understanding of weather model data and how to interpret it for operational forecasts.


Salary: $55,000 - $65,000 per year
