What You Can Expect
Support the development, implementation, and training of Lean tools and concepts from incoming to shipment at Zimmer Biomet large site or multiple production sites. Responsible for the overall development program which teaches and promotes efficient, quality, lean, and cost-effective operation and manufacturing processes using Lean Production Methods.
Assist in operationalizing the site strategy on the shop floor. Support departments in identifying operational waste and areas for improved operational effectiveness. Working collaboratively with the Engineering team, assist in determining, deploying, and training the right development plans and corresponding implementation of Lean concepts within the targeted department.
Manage and track specific deployment projects, create and modify development procedures, and conduct kick-off and site activities to maximize deployment effectiveness and to meet stated objectives in the areas of quality, lead time/ delivery, and total cost of product service goals.
How You'll Create Impact
- Drive continuous process improvement, cost savings, and a strong CI culture across operations.
- Implement Lean tools (Kanban, JIT, Kaizen, Jidoka, Heijunka, 5S, Visual Management) to improve material and information flow.
- Conduct operational assessments, identify gaps, and create targeted action plans.
- Support governance, standards, KPIs, and reporting processes to strengthen the OPEX system.
- Contribute to curriculum development and training materials for Lean deployment.
- Manage and support site-specific improvement projects and track progress toward goals.
- Lead and facilitate process improvement initiatives, trainings, and workshops to drive cultural change.
- Perform root cause analysis, resolve manufacturing and material flow issues, and create supporting process documentation.
- Lead value stream mapping for current-state and future-state design.
- Conduct audits, evaluations, and reviews to ensure improvements are effective and sustainable.
- Support knowledge sharing and best-practice transfer across sites.
- Improve manufacturing methods for new and existing products and set standards for efficient production.
- Estimate production times, efficiencie, and costs to inform change decisions.
- Coach and mentor project teams and certification candidates in Lean and Six Sigma.
- Build and develop a strong internal team of CI facilitators.
- Challenge teams to identify improvement opportunities nad partner with stakeholders to drive innovation.
- Ensure all initiatives support long-term business goals and objectives.

- Extensive knowledge of Lean tools, concept, and plant-wide application within small batch manufacturing and processing facilities.
- Demonstrated ability to apply Lean concepts to improve overall manufacturing effectiveness, ensuring that the righ quantity of the righ parts is delivered at the right time.
- Demonstrated success in defining project goals and objectives as well as tracking and reporting out progress against defined goals to project stakeholders.

Your Background
- Bachelors Degree in Industrial Engineering, Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration required.
- Five years experience in Lean application and/ or training in an industrial or manufacturing setting required.
- Commensurate combination of education and experience may be considered.
- Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, or equivalent certification required.
- Experience leading teams required.
- SAP experience with respect to planning and scheduling activities preferred.
- Advanced skills in statistical software packages (Minitab, Visio, etc) and MS Office required.
