The University of Tennessee Health Science Center is seeking a part-time non-tenure Open Rank Instructor to Professor in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PM&R) to serve as academic physician for the new PMR program.
Provide inpatient psychiatry care and consultations.
Provide outpatient follow-up.
Work with APPs and trainees (medical students, residents, fellows, visiting students, and other allied health professionals) and facilitate interprofessional team care.
Lead a team of medical professionals, which may include physical therapists and occupational therapists, in order to optimize patient care.
Conduct or participate in research on injuries, diseases, and disabling conditions to improve and advance treatments.
Liaise with community organizations to facilitate program building and awareness of physiatry services.
Actively participate in the building and execution of the inaugural residency program for PMR at UT Health Science Center COM.
Provide resident supervision, education and mentorship as described by the ACGME
