POSITION OVERVIEW

We are seeking an elite Open Radio Access Network (O-RAN) Engineer to architect and build next-generation network infrastructures on-site in Warren, MI. This role focuses on the end-to-end deployment of an O-RAN compatible private 5G network environment. The successful candidate will leverage strong C/C++ development skills to code low-level network behaviors and co-develop cutting-edge xApps. These applications will interact directly with radio resource control algorithms to drive deep cross-layer optimizations, drastically accelerating next-generation communication performance.

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Design, code, and deploy O-RAN networking infrastructures natively within standalone private 5G network testbeds.

• Write high-performance, robust C/C++ code to implement low-level networking controls and cellular software stacks.

• Co-develop intelligent User Equipment (UE)-side application wrappers alongside O-RAN-side radio resource control mechanisms.

• Engineer and launch custom xApps to execute real-time radio resource optimizations, verifying cross-layer application performance gains.

• Document architectural network configurations, boundary conditions, and test vectors to establish a highly reproducible, compliant cellular sandbox.

• Collaborate alongside specialized telematics, electrical engineering, and computing architecture groups to test physical integrations.
