STATUS: PART-TIME ON CALL (NON-EXEMPT)

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Events & Operations Team Member provides the first point of contact for all guests. The Events Team Member is expected to provide excellent guest service to all guests and to always display a vast amount of knowledge of the facility's programs and offerings. This position is on call and is not guaranteed a certain number of hours per week.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO THE FOLLOWING:

  • Setup rooms with tables and chairs according to floorplan.
  • Selling concessions and bar items and use a cash register
  • Assisting in clean up of the facility after events
  • Bussing and serving tables
  • Tear down rooms after events including stacking chairs and tables
  • Vacuum the facility when needed
  • Polishing silverware and glassware
  • Serving drinks from an outdoor tent during outdoor events
  • Stock concessions and bar with items needed
  • Complete special projects, daily assignments and other duties as directed by management

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Must be 18 years or older
  • Must be available evenings and weekends
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Ability to maintain focus in a high-volume, fast-paced environment
  • Must have excellent guest service skills
  • Must be detail-oriented and have outstanding organizational skills
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and remain calm and focused in difficult and stressful situations
  • Must be respectful and friendly to our athletes, guests, visitors, spectators, leaders and fellow Team Members
  • Must work well with others and have strong work ethic
  • Customer service and cash handling experience preferred or quick study

WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • Must be able to lift 30 pounds waist high
  • May be required to sit or stand for extended periods of time whether indoors or outdoors, and squat, stoop or bend
  • Will be required to operate a cash register, credit card machine.
  • Facility has intermittent noise

PREFERRED:

  • Customer service experience
  • Event experience
