Job Summary
This position is with an established retail branch of a fortune 50 insurance company near New York Penn Station.
It is a fast paced working environment that requires you to be extremely detail oriented and willing to read and follow instructions "to the T". Please read this entire post carefully and only apply if job requirements are met.
Strong potential for advancement opportunities. $60,000-$70,000 per year based on experience and skill level plus monthly bonus opportunities. Yearly pay increases based on performance. MUST HAVE PROPERTY & CASUALTY and LIFE & HEALTH LICENSE OR BE IN THE PROCESS OF OBTAINING IT.
Responsibilities and Duties
* Will be required to sit in front of a computer for 8 hours a day, answer phone calls, respond to emails & texts, note records for clients and be extremely detailed in your work.
* Will be assigned tasks daily to follow up with existing and potentially new customers regarding requests asking for policy quotes, added coverage, etc. that are sent via email, text, voicemails.
* Will be required to handle an average combination of 25-30 phone calls, emails & texts per day from existing and new customers with questions regarding adding new policies, adding additional coverages to existing policies, etc.
* Will need to communicate in a friendly, positive attitude with a customer service mentality in order to assist customers to their satisfaction with their requests
* Will need to learn and discuss coverages and gaps to increase/add new products to existing and new client's accounts that are appropriate to their current needs
* Must be very detail oriented: you must be accurate when you take down information for applications. You will be noting accounts and reviewing information on accounts in order to complete customer requests.
* Must have a good memory to remember the various places where information is available in order to answer customer questions accurately.
* Requires acceptable typing speed in order to accurately note and input information into the computer systems during conversations with customers
* Will need to manage time in order to complete all assigned tasks, respond to emails and texts, and return voicemails throughout the day.
* Will need to multi-task and juggle doing several things at one time.
* Will need to complete payroll and other administrative tasks as needed
Qualifications and Skills
*Must be able to follow step by step instructions. Self-motivated and quick thinking
* MUST possess excellent communication, writing, speaking, and listening skills
* MUST possess excellent computer knowledge & usage of various Microsoft Office programs such as Outlook, Excel, Word, etc.
* Must have Property & Casualty license and Life & Health license OR in be in process of obtaining license.
* Multi-lingual Spanish or Korean a plus.
