Pay Rate Range: $40.00 - $50.00 an hour

Job Overview: Our client is seeking an extremely detailed candidate capable of assisting with clerical functions such as copying, scanning, writing letters, opening, and distributing mail. Candidate must know how to use Excel and be able to create Excel spreadsheets. Candidate will be required to maintain a critical tracking log in Excel for disability applications, obtaining information from emails and other spreadsheets. The candidate will learn how to ensure all disability applications are completed accurately and will proactively follow up with applicants via email and/or mail for missing documentation. Candidate will also assist Pension Managers in tracking and logging pension affidavits (5,000 per year), filing, logging, and scanning retirement applications. Candidate must be able to work under strict deadlines.
Ideal candidates should have a bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience and education is preferred, strong attention to detail, and proficiency in Excel. Familiarity with PeopleSoft or HRIS systems is a plus but not required. This is a great opportunity for recent graduates. A customer service mentality will be helpful to success in the role. A candidate with a background working in a medical office environment will be preferred.
RESPONSIBILITIES
· Open and distribute mail to staff
· Log and scan retirement and disability applications in proper Excel spreadsheets.
· Ensure applications are completed accurately and communicate with applicants, via email, phone, and mail, if necessary, what is incomplete.
· Track Pension affidavits into the Affidavit log and scan affidavits.
· Maintain the disability log for updates on outstanding disability cases as they work their way through the process. Currently, there are over 100 open cases.
QUALIFICATIONS EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION
· Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education and experience
· Exposure to HRIS systems is a plus
· Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data input and review, reconciliation, and reporting
· Strong attention to detail
· Must be able to adhere to strict deadlines
· Experience in a medical office environment is a plus
· Emotional intelligence. Ability to collaborate and communicate with a multidisciplinary team.
