The Opportunity
We are seeking a driven, energetic professional with a strong sales mindset who thrives in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment and is eager to deliver exceptional service while actively pursuing new business and revenue opportunities.
This “Jack of All Trades” position combines office operations, client service, account management, light bookkeeping, and proactive inside sales. The ideal candidate has a professional and engaging personality, a true hunter mentality paired with a Can-Do work ethic, and is confident networking in business settings to build relationships, prospect leads, and convert them into loyal clients.
As an integral member of our close-knit team, you will support daily operations, build lasting client relationships, and directly contribute to agency growth. This role offers excellent growth potential in both position and remuneration as the business expands to the next level. For the right candidate, the sky is the limit: unlimited earning potential through commissions, performance bonuses, and rapid advancement into higher-responsibility sales and management roles.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage daily office operations, including light bookkeeping, commission tracking, filing, and office organization as needed
- Maintain accurate office records for business renewals, licenses, and compliance documentation
- Serve as the primary Customer Service Representative (CSR) and Account Manager, delivering outstanding client experiences
- Handle inquiries, policy servicing, renewals, endorsements, and claims support with professionalism and care
- Maintain accurate records and perform data entry across multiple systems
- Complete annual exams and training to reinforce product knowledge, procedures, and industry best practices
- Build and nurture client relationships while identifying cross-sell and account-rounding opportunities (with direct commission upside)
- Actively network at business events, prospect new leads, and convert relationships into clients
- Proactively research solutions, solve problems creatively, and represent the agency at marketing and community functions
- Ensure full compliance with carrier and state regulations
- Collaborate as a true team player in a positive, supportive environment
Note: Availability to work Saturdays as needed (typically 4–8 hours) and evenings for marketing and business networking events is required.
What We’re Looking For
We seek a versatile “Jack or Jill of All Trades” with a genuine Can-Do attitude and strong sales inclination:
- Self-motivated, highly organized, and detail-oriented with excellent time management
- Strong organizational and procedure management skills
- Quick learner who is motivated to accomplish tasks in a prompt and efficient manner
- Thrives on multi-tasking and excels in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Professional and engaging personality with strong interpersonal skills
- Strong “hunter” mentality paired with a proactive Can-Do work ethic
- Confident and proactive networker — unafraid to approach others, build relationships, prospect leads, and turn them into clients
- Resourceful problem-solver who thinks quickly on their feet
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and general technology tools
- Energetic, resilient, and passionate about growth — both personal and for the agency
- Eager to learn, take initiative, and contribute to revenue-generating activities
Licensing & Growth Requirements
- Active California Life & Health (L&H) license is required at the time of hire or must be obtained within the first 3 months of employment.
- Property & Casualty (P&C) license must be obtained within 6 months of employment.
- Obtaining these licenses is a key requirement of the position.
- Once fully licensed, you will transition into inside sales responsibilities, significantly increasing your earning potential through commissions and bonuses.
Position Details & Compensation
- Position begins at 25–30 hours per week to allow dedicated time for studying and licensing requirements, with a fast-track increase to full-time once all requirements are met
- Competitive base compensation based on experience, with scheduled increases as you meet licensing and performance milestones
- Strong performance bonuses available from day one
- Substantial commission upside as you engage in sales, account rounding, and new business development
- Unlimited earning potential for a motivated, sales-driven candidate who consistently delivers results
This is more than an administrative role — it’s a true growth opportunity where your contributions, client focus, sales initiative, networking ability, and hunter mentality will be directly rewarded.
