Role Description

We are seeking a full-time experienced Ocean Export Coordinator to join our team. This on-site role, based in Houston, TX, involves managing and coordinating outbound and inbound oceanfreight. Responsibilities include preparing export documentation, working closely with overseas partners and agents, ensuring accurate and timely shipment execution, and providing exceptional customer service. You will be proficient in clearly communicating with carriers, clients, agents and internal teams to ensure successful outcomes. Airfreight experience, while not essential, would be beneficial.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in Oceanfreight Documentation and understanding of end-to-end oceanfreight processes
• Strong skills in Communication and Customer Service
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills
• Working knowledge of relevant regulations and compliance standards
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite; familiarity with IES (Descartes) would be advantageous but not essential
• Proven track record in similar role(s)
• Minimum 2 years experience in ocean freight forwarding
