Occupational Therapist - Travel Contract

Make a meaningful difference as a travel OT. We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Occupational Therapist to help patients with injuries, illnesses, or disabilities regain or improve daily skills while working at a skilled nursing facility in Hayward, CA.


Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctoral Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited educational program.
  • Active California Occupational Therapy License required to start the assignment.
  • BLS certification from AHA or ARC may be required.
  • Experience working in a skilled nursing facility or long-term care setting preferred.
  • Experience providing restorative therapy, ADL training, and discharge planning preferred.
  • Ability to manage a caseload consistent with a 35-hour work week and document per facility policies.
  • Willingness to work a 5x8 schedule with start time 0800 and end time 1630.
  • Open availability to work seven days as scheduled by VMS and ability to adapt to facility scheduling needs.


Assignment Details

  • Facility Type: Skilled Nursing Facility.
  • Shift Name: Days.
  • Shift Hours: 0800-1630.
  • Schedule: 5x8 (five shifts per week, 8 hours each).
  • VMS Guaranteed Hours: 35 per week.
  • VMS Contract Length: 14 weeks.
  • Candidate may be expected to float to other facilities as needed.
